14. John WHITMAN. Born in 1658 in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., Mass.

In 1686 when John was 28, he married Hannah PRATT, in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., Mass.

They had no children.

15. Ebenezer WHITMAN. Born abt 1673. Ebenezer died in 1713, he was 40.

In 1699 when Ebenezer was 26, he married Abigail BURNHAM, in Weymouth, Norfolk, Mass.

They had the following children:

16. Nicholas WHITMAN.[4] Born abt 1675. Nicholas died in 1746, he was 71. Cause of death: from a cart wheel running over him.

Son of Ensign John's second wife

Nicholas first married Sarah VINING[4]. Sarah died in 1713-1714.

They had the following children:

Susannah married Benjamin WILLIS.

18. Mary WHITMAN.

Her great grandson was Caleb Leach, the famous clockmaker, distinguished for ingenious mechanical inventions

Mary married Seth LEACH.

19. Naomi WHITMAN. Naomi died bef 1727.

On 30 Nov 1686 Naomi married William SNOW, son of William SNOW.

They had the following children:

20. Hannah WHITMAN. Hannah died in 1712.

Hannah first married David LEACH[4], son of Giles LEACH & Ann NOKES. Born in 1632 in Salem, Mass.

Settled as a young man at Weymouth; in 1663 he removed to Bridgewater, being one of the 56 original proprietors of that town.

They had the following children:
